At JamyTots, we believe that strong partnerships with parents create the best outcomes for children.

This page gives you all the key information you need before your child joins us - from what to bring, to how we communicate, to the routines that help children feel safe and settled.

 

What to Bring Each Day

A change of clothes (labelled)

Nappies and wipes if needed

Weather appropriate items: coat, hat, gloves, sunhat

Comfort item ( optional) a favourite teddy or blanket

Any prescribed medication with written permission

 

Meals & Snacks

We provide healthy snacks throughout the day and encourage children to try a variety of foods.

Parents can choose to provide packed lunch, but please avoid nuts and whole grapes for safety.

 

Opening Hours

Our childcare hours are:

Monday - Friday: 8:00am - 5.30pm

We do not offer school pick ups / Drop off

 

Communication With Parents

We keep you updated through 

Daily chats at drop-off and pick-up

Photos and updates shared securely

Quick messages for anything important 

Termly progress summaries

We want you to feel fully involved in your childs learning and wellbeing.

 

Settling -In Process

Every child is different, so we tailor settling in to their needs, Typically this includes 

A short visit with you 

A longer visit without you

Gradual build up of time 

This helps your child feel safe, confident and familiar with the enviroment.

 

Illness & Absence

If your child is unwell, please keep them at home until they are fully recovered.

Sickness/diarrhoea: 48 hours after last episode

Fever: child must be fever free without medication

Contagious illness: follow NHS guidance

 

Safeguarding

Your childs safety is our highest priority.

We follow all statutory safeguarding requirements and ensure that children are always cared for in a safe, nurturing enviroment.

 

Fees & Funding

We accept goverment funding and tax free childcare.

 

Policies

A copy of our full policies and procedures are given to parents during the onboaring stage, you can have this sent to you via email or be given a paper copy.
